I started off in the music industry at London Records as a radio plugger where I worked with All Saints, Faith No More, Sugababes, New Order, Happy Mondays, and the ffrr dance label. I then moved to head of radio at Warners working with Madonna, The Streets, Kano, Pendulum, Neil Young, Green Day, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Buble, MCR, Muse before moving to Columbia as director of promotions and press. Here I worked with George Ezra, ASAP Rocky, Tom Odell, Mark Ronson, 21 Savage, Calvin Harris, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Rag N Bone Man, Harry Styles, Rita Ora, First Aid Kit, Daft Punk, Springsteen, Dylan. My role then expanded to take in the Orchard and the other Sony labels – Jorja Smith, RAYE, Tom Grennan, Skepta, Joy Crookes, Doja Cat. I left Sony to join Bauer media where I was the director of music for Kiss, Absolute, Hits, Greatest Hits, Scala, Jazz, Planet Rock, Kerrang and Magic. I was in charge of the playlists and booking artists for promotion and events. It was fascinating to see from the other side directly what we needed/wanted for playlisting artists. In May this year I set up my own promotions company Yorba, and I’m carefully building a diverse roster. I work with Sports Team, Kenny Hoopla, Kingfishr, The Jacques, Jet, Michael Buble.Yorba is also a management company and I represent Cameron Hayes and Zion B.
